Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Enos is a Career Diplomat, and a seasoned International Affairs and Migration Analyst.
Biography
Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Enos is a Career Diplomat, and a seasoned International Affairs and Migration Analyst. He began his professional career in 1985 with the Customs, Excise and Preventive Service, and later joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in 2002.
As the Director of Diaspora Affairs Bureau, he coordinated a team of Consultants from the Centre for Migration Studies, University of Ghana in drafting the first Diaspora Engagement Policy for Ghana, which is currently receiving attention at Cabinet level. He also has to his credit the organization of many important donor-funded diaspora related workshops, training programs and conferences.
Prior to his appointment in 2017 as Ghana’s first Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Ambassador Emmanuel Enos served as the National Director of Passport. In this role, he spearheaded a number of operational interventions in the passport delivery system; including the implementation of the online Passport Application System which had just been commissioned, the re-structuring of the Accra Passport Office, the introduction of Defense Intelligence Personnel; and the expansion of regional Passport Application Centres (PACs) to include Tema, V.F.S.-Accra, and USA.
Amb. Dr. Enos holds a BA in Economics and Sociology (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana); and an MA in International Affairs as well as a Ph.D. in Migration Studies – both from University of Ghana, Legon. He also holds various certificates on Harmonized Commodity Codes (World Customs Organization, Brussels, Belgium), International Relations (School of Diplomacy, Madrid, Spain); and Strategic Foresight & Leadership (Civil Service College, Singapore)
