Biography
Adolf Awuku Bekoe is a clinical psychologist and lecturer in Psychology at the Methodist University College Ghana. He’s also the National Coordinator for the Coalition on Domestic Violence Legislation in Ghana which mobilised for the passage of Ghana’s Domestic Violence Act 2007 (Act 732). As an activist and practitioner, he’s been working in the area of sexual and
gender-based violence victimization and trauma since 2000. Mr. Bekoe has worked closely with the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service since its inception as a Psychologist and a trainer. Adolf has MPhil in Psychology from the University of Ghana and Diploma in Transitional Justice from the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) and the International Centre for Transitional Justice (ICTJR) both in Cape Town, South
