He was also member of the Commonwealth Elections Task Force in Zimbabwe (2000) and Technical Assistant in Cameroon (2004). As Adjunct Faculty member of the Africa Center for Security Studies, he taught seminars in Senegal, Botswana, Ethiopia and Washington, DC.

Biography

Prof. Baffour Agyeman-Duah is currently the CEO of The John A. Kufuor Foundation,

founded by former Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor. Earlier, and for ten years (2005-2014), he served with the United Nations as Senior Governance Advisor with UNDP, Tanzania and UNMIL, Liberia. In both positions he worked closely with governance institutions, providing critical analysis and advice to governments and the UN Office.

Prior to joining the UN, he was Associate Executive Director of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), an independent public policy think tank, which he co-founded in 1998. During the period, he served as Elections Technical Advisor for the NDI-USA in Liberia (1997); Sierra Leone (2001); and Nigeria (1999).

He was also member of the Commonwealth Elections Task Force in Zimbabwe (2000) and Technical Assistant in Cameroon (2004). As Adjunct Faculty member of the Africa Center for Security Studies, he taught seminars in Senegal, Botswana, Ethiopia and Washington, DC. He was Associate Professor of International Relations at Bennett College and the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, USA, and was awarded a Fulbright Professorship at the Legon Center for International Affairs, University of Ghana (1994-1996). He has published monographs and a number of articles in scholarly journals.

Prof. Agyeman-Duah studied at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana; Ohio University, Athens, Ohio and the University of Denver, Colorado, USA, where he earned his PhD degree.
