Migration, impacts and causes, a success story with the 1st Social Bridging Platform

Migration, impacts and causes

Migration brings huge benefits, fueling growth development and entrepreneurship in both countries people come from and in those they moved to. It leads to more innovation, better educated workforce, and greater occupational specialization. It can give substantial economic benefits with a higher overall productivity.

Even though immigration helps to reduce any labour shortages, on the other hand, it is argued that immigration can cause issues of overcrowding and congestion and many other social and economic challenges.

Furthermore, individuals who migrate experience multiple stresses including the loss of cultural norms, religious customs, and social support systems, adjustment to a new culture and changes in identity and concept of self.

The number of vacancies proposed by many companies abroad attracts a large number of workers. In Africa, for example, too many people have graduated from a local university, but only few of them manage to find jobs in their home countries, and many are waiting only to be recruited, especially abroad.
